Questions: am I entitled to paid time off work for a hospital appointment follow - Safety
| Questions: am I entitled to paid time off work for a hospital appointment follow I work as a concession manager within a depatrment store. Following an injury during my working day with a lift door, which i have since found out has been faulty for months, I have been left with my hand in a splint and in pain. I need to take a day off work for an mri scan, my employer has told me it will have to be unpaid authorised leave. Is this correct?? Also my employer has told me that my safety is the responsibility of the store whilst the store have said that I am the responsibilty of my employer and not them. Are either of them correct? Does anyone know where I stand regarding the pay issue as I will need physio for the foreseeable future and am worried about the loss of earnings? |
